Hello there
Is there a place near EDMONTON where I could land my C180 on floats? Beside cooking lake?
Cheers

Just south of town half mile or so there is an old floded mine site.A couple old guys use that for their 180/185's.There is a small square dock on the east side and launch area that show up on Google earth. I have names and numbers if you are interested!

Is Cooking Lake even usable any more? I thought I heard that there wasn’t enough water left there.

30 years ago there were only areas of usable water in Cooking Lake and there is less water depth now. Best to get local knowledge. I do not think there is a fuel truck at the airport....just pumps. No docks just a boat ramp.FishermanIvan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 19, 2018 5:51 am Is Cooking Lake even usable any more? I thought I heard that there wasn’t enough water left there.
