is YXS a main base for CMA? Just curious. Not completely clear from what I have seen.

An AOC holder has to have a main base (CMA is CYYD), other bases are sub bases. You can't have more than one main base unless you get an exemption or have more than 1 AOC.

CMA may share NTA's main base of CYXS but it's still a sub base for them.

The requirements for a main base are very specific.
