To you as well! Just went for my first rip on floats in about 3 years... feels great to be back on the water!

Lucky you Esp, I miss a 3T!

Enjoy Yukon and stay safe.

I am back with the piston ones but I love them.

Won't be on the 3 this season, but hopefully all the other birds! I'd love to go for a rip in the piston otter some day!

They have a better airframe, not abused with too much power and upgross kits.

Those stoneboats were designed for 8,000 lbs @ 100 mph. Not 9,000 lbs @ 135 mph

Could
Past tense. Before the loss of beard. Now that that's gone, he probably can't even win an arm wrestle.

Hell, tied to the tail a skier could probably out power an Otter!

A small point of order:

Skiers point their feet forward, and negotiate around buoys at the outermost point of their turns; since the person in the picture has his feet pointing sideways, and there's nary a buoy in sight, we can safely assume that he is not a skier, but rather, a wakeboarder...

PS, cool pic - I've often wondered about doing that (but could never get past the safety/f@$king around with the boss' aircraft risk/reward equation) I'd imagine that you'd really pull the tail around if you dug in hard.. otoh, the airtime would be spectacular!

I seem to think I will have oodles of shots of this otter by the end of the season... all I really want is a shot of me flying my airplane to feed my ego haha.

Here's a few from the Yellowknife Floatplane Fly-in last weekend. Turns out all my best shots were of the local planes, and didn't get too many good ones of the visitors!

I've decided I only fly planes that used to have radials and are now converted to turbines. :-P
