Don't worry, I believe that he is exempted from that rule due to his extra thick cranium.

Hugh's a great guy. When he did moose surveys with me in the Turbo-Beaver I never needed a ladder to put wing covers on. He's the only guy I know thats tall enough to hunt geese with a rake.

Its getting darker, but last night/yesterday got fairly cold and slowed its progress until late this afternoon. Looks like good weather for a little while I think we're right on track for the 10th haha.. 2 planes in the river right now, all the lakes are frozen over in the area except the very shallow potholes.

If that's the same bushhawk I'm thinking of... S. is married to the owner! My wife and I always enjoyed joining them at their place for a fish-fry... nice people, although I never worked for them...

I'm thinking ice-out on the 9th of May...

Well from 40,000 ft two days ago most of Lake Of the Woods is open and it looked like Kenora was almost ice free. Selkirk I'm sure is wide open. A week ago the lakes around Red Lake and Ear Falls looked like some good spring ice conditions but with the temperatures and wind I'm sure the ice will rot fast. Getting risky to find ice to land on these days in North Western Ontario. Ah memories of working on the spring ice.....beautiful time of year!

NPO landed out by the windsock on Red Lake this morning... but there is still ice all the way up the west shoreline of Howey bay. Does that count?

Theres still no planes sitting in the bay, everyone is overnighting in the river... I'd say until tomorrow, the 10th, when the rest of the ice floating around there is going to completely melted hahaha..

The ice is probably going to be gone by later this evening anyways with the rain and all, today was definitely the day... It was a busyish day in Howey Bay.

So, what you're tying to say is... I lost again? C'mon, at least once in the last 30 years I should have been close!
