Anybody have an idea regarding Bombardier's Undisclosed CL-415 Customer? The deal was announced last month.

Is it an American buyer? One dares to dream!

We heard the buyer is Trans Maldivian Airways. Aircraft to be configured for down island resort transfers outside the range of the current -6 fleet.

Trolling for wahoo? Earlier press release stated they were going to a current operator that operates one already. Spain perhaps?

Morocco's crews came for training at our facility and apparently they would buy 6. Canadair is working on a de-iced version of the 415. The wing might not have to be de-iced I was told but I have a doubt. This would enable the plane to be more versatile that's for sure and being sold for off-shore ops. for all coast guard organisations around the globe. But get rid of the 10 C thing first...

Just curious Canacrane, did you get a sense of how much if any the Moroccan crews had seaplane experience and how much aerial firefighting had they done?
I realize they could tap France for some experienced crews and expertise in both departments.

Cheers
DR

Thanks CLguy and Caracrane,

Looks like it is Morocco.
I found some other info - C-GISO has the Moroccan Air Force roundel!

Nice to see 415's going to NFLD and Manitoba.
And some of the AB and Sask 215's getting turbines.
Pretty soon the tankers will sneak up on us anywhere in Canada!

The rumor of Israel and India both getting fleets is floating around as well.

I'll come back to you on that Driving Rain about the Morocco crews after I talk to our sim. instructor. And the last new is that Vietnam would have bought two.
