beaver pop out windows
Purely out of curiosity, I've seen pictures of quite a few Canadian operators adopting the new viking pop out windows on beavers, but I haven't yet come across any pictures of American beavers with the windows. Are they not certified for use in the US?

Interesting! I too havent seen any of the american beavers thus far with them.. yet HA, Saltspring and where I work have them. I'm assuming they'd have seen a reciprocal approval in states in the names of safety. I'm still not 100% sold on them as effective. I'd prefer to see the door handles on the interior moved like the other mod..

Under the Bilateral Agreement, any Canadian STC should be accepted in the USA with familiarization only.C-FDPB wrote: Are they not certified for use in the US?

IIRC the pop-out windows are a service kit, not an STC. Either way they would be legal in the US.
Re: beaver pop out windows
Right; they are a Viking product and Viking is the Type Certificate holder. The aircraft has a US Type Cert, therefore carte-blanche, they are an accepted mod.
