Hi all, I've been reading good things about the Fredericton operation of Moncton Flight College. Has anyone on here worked for them, or are currently employed there? I'm an M1-rated AME with 7 years experience (including my post-secondary plus apprenticeship).
I'd like to get some unbiased input on the place before sending in my resume, including but not limited to professional disposition of staff, shifts, overtime availability, pay scale, opportunity for advancement, general positive attitude level and of course, if they are currently hiring AMEs.
Also, may private pilots rent their planes for recurrent training/ recreational use? Or are they strictly a flight-training facility for their Chinese contract? Any info would be most helpful and appreciated!

Re: Moncton Flight College/ Fredericton...
Logically thinking, MFC was built from a small club to one of the largest FTU's in the country with consistent success...You can't do that without doing something right.
Their website does say that they aren't looking for anyone right now, but I'd email Jacques at jrichard@mfc.nb.ca
(side note, last time I heard our good buddy from Maylan was sniffing around for someone to pick up his contract, MFC was mentioned...ANY mention of maylan...RUN!! However I think MFC is way too smart for that)

Hey, thanks FGM. I'll send off an email to them soon. I'm currently employed elsewhere, and the company I'm with has done good by me so I'd prefer to stay with them for as long as they need me or at least give them adequate notice should something come available at MFC Fredericton.
But since I live here (and originally entered the trade to work on the small planes--- the ones I can afford to fly) the opportunity to work for a well-run flight school in my home town is something I'd like to keep my ear to the ground on.
And I'd read about Maylan. Scary stuff indeed, especially for those students who stand to lose everything. I understand company assets were frozen and that if things pan out for these kids in court they may yet get at least partial reimbursement. Here's hoping.
