How to get Human factors training?

Post by zhuo409 »

Hello everybody,

I am looking for a AME apprentice job and I would like to get some Human factors training before the job.

Could anyone please tell me how to get that training?

Thank you

You don't, the company that hires you should supply the training whether they use their own system or TC's barebones video and material. If you're curious about it, talk to TC and they will direct you. Under no circumstances should you buy or pay for a human factors course.

Please don't pander to employers who want fully trained stooges right off the hop, a company needs to invest in their employees, not the other way around.

Only if he went to an accredited school that offered the course. It also needs to be done periodically, every 3 years I think, but don't quote me on that.

In the old days you just made lots of mistakes and hopefully learned from them before you killed yourself. But seriously...HF training is well worth it if the company and the people delivering the training are competent ans serious about safety and your well being. There are a couple of companies that I know that roll their eyes and think it's all just a touchy-feely new-age waste of time.
