Hello all. I'm running a pzl 220 franklin in an m4. I've only got about 15 hours on this machine so far and have notice a trend in my number 6 cylender(right front). It runs hotter then the rest with a lower egt and higher cht. Still within limits by a long way. The rest usually run around 1050 egt and 285-265 cht. Number 6 will get as high as 300cht on climb and 985egt? It'll stabilize after climb around 295cht and 1000 egt. Within limits but should I start checking on it. Sounds good, runs smooth, burns normal oil consumption??
Thanks

Re: Pzl 220 hot cylinder
I would have some one do an induction system leak test. Hook a clean shop vac to blow and put a positive pressure in through the throat of the carb. Check the entire intake system for leaks with soapy water.
It has an intake manifold for each bank of cylinders, rather than segments connected with hose like Cont and Lyc.
The intake manifold has to be tourqued to all 3 cylinders before the cylinders are torqued to the case. Otherwise the manifold may not seal flat onto the cylinders intake port. Bolts seem to shake out on the intake manifold on a regular basis.
Also a bunch of special seals in the induction system that tend to leak when they get old.
This might not fix your specific problem but I bet you will find some leaks.
