I must be rusty, but can I flash the field of this a/c. Grounds are good, but discovered, main gen to engine ground, disconnected. Might have blown the volt regulator.
Also, it should be possible, to make both the 1953 C-180 and the sister ship, 1958 C-180, have similar electrical charging systems.
Thanks for the input on this, but it's nice to still use machines for fishing and work,
Be well

Yeah... Real helpful guys. I totally don't understand the questions either, but maybe lets ask for some clarification rather than insulting the guy.Heliian wrote:You could try with a 9v battery.
Wonderdog, can you try to explain better what you're asking?
How to flash the gen field on a C-180? Blown voltage regulator? Not sure what you want to know.
Re: C-80 generator field dlashing, 1953
Flashing the field with a 9v battery instead of your aircraft battery. the 9v shouldn't damage anything. Lower potential.
