Autopilots

Post by Dust Devil »

Looking for some info on upgrading my autopilot. I have a navajo with an altimatic. It seems to be pretty slow to react and sometimes when flying straight and level it'll pitch up severly. Any advice on what too look for? Could things just need a cleaning? Or would I be better off upgrading to a newer system. I also intend to have an IFR gps coupled to the autopilot eventually. I don't know if that would affect your recomendations or not. The avionics upgrade may not happen for a year, but I would like to get this autopilot situation looked at.
