Changing Plates?

Post by LT »

Just curious as to the costs associated with swapping an N-registered aircraft into Canadian registration?

What is the cheapest you've seen it done for?

What needs to be done?

Thanks in advance.

The fun or Imports

Have seen it range from $500 to $500k and still climbing. The answer is in the aircraft type the accuracy of the A/C records and how many mods done to the A/C. Look up you local MDM.

It depends on the type and what you've got to do to it to bring it in line with TC requirements.

Also what type of operation it is going to do, Part 703, 704 705 or 403.

Mods and AD/SB compliance can add up the $$, best negotiate some AD/SB compliance before the actual purchase.

Make sure the AMO or Part145 organisation that does the work gives up all the original paperwork back up or you may have to redo bunches.
