Twin Otter log times

Post by kilpicki »

After about a 20 year gap I am now back working on the venerable Twin Otter.

In the fleet of 9 we operate there is one with about 26,000 hrs and I was wondering how this compares to other Otters.

What are the hi time Otters you guys work on or know about?

I was working on a 100 series a few summers back which had already exceeded the 25K mark. I think it was serial #18 or something like that. An old bird for sure :D

The highest time bird I've seen was a B-99 which had about 45K the day it fell out of the sky.....

What part of the world do you work in Kilpicki? I've been around Northern SK. for the past 5 years or so. I'm planning on heading out to Calgary in the next couple of weeks to get a job, have you heard much about Rocky Mountain Aircraft?

Cheers!

We have a -100 at 30k and three -300's ranging from 46k-50k.

An interesting note, the highest time twin is our newest, being serial #450 manufactured in 1975

Cheers!
