Vortex Generators.

Post by jpilot77 »

I have checked for vortex generators for my Seneca, only found one company in Washington that does them. Anybody know about a Canadian shop that does this STC or at least an east coast US one?

If you are talking about the Micro Aerodynamics out of Anacortes WA, they are the only ones I believe.

But they don't do the mod (or at least they don't have to). You buy the kit, STC, and get your maintenance shop to put it in.

Really easy to install. The kit comes with a template and easy instructions to lay out the pattern on the wing. You use an adhesive and a spray activator (which goes through the holes in the template) so no muss no fuss. If you are going to paint the VGs, don't paint the bottom (adhesion to bare metal is best).

Typically with twins you will also have nacelle strakes that simply rivnut or bolt onto the cowl/nacelle.
