Ignition duty cycles

Post by oldtimer »

I am a pilot doing some training and I have a question for AME.s.
What is the duty cycle for the Auto/Continuous ignition system installed in the Merto 2 with the -10 conversion. All I have is the AFM and the limits are for the -3 engine.

I would not be surprised if the ignition system stayed the same. Sparks a spark.

A spark may be a spark but there are different ways to create that spark.
One reason for the switch to the -10 engine was more durable parts.
The emergency procedures are slightly different so I am assuming either the igniters or the igniter box may be different.
I know there are different units available for the -11 engine with different duty cycles.
I am doing a training program for pilots but I do not have access to the maintenance manual.
So any help would be appreciated.
