Have any of you guys out there worked on any of the new Fadec pistons. IE the DA42 with the Aerosance diesel, or the Liberty equipped with the TCM Powerlink. Anybody have thoughts on them? Just doing a little research and was curious on your experiences and/or opinions.

I have spent much time involved with the DA42 - stay far away from those converted auto engines unless you have deep pockets!

I like the new Austro engines that are on the DA42 over the Thielert 2.0's. They are still expensive to operate and maintain but seem to run smoother. Very similar in their electronic functions but quite a bit different mechanically.
