Aircraft Painting Alberta

Post by Mooseman »

Anyone painting planes in Alberta or nearby? Is Trevor, formerly of Harv air still painting at his acreage near Villeneuve? Any suggestions?

+1. Would like to know if there was someone local.

I know that Uppervalley in Chilliwack does some painting. I think they might be the closest.

Hi guys,

Avialta Helicopter Maintenance at the Villeneuve airport in St. Albert has a big paint booth. They might be your closest bet.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

I keep my Glastar at Villeneuve and have seen some of the work done at the helicopter paint shop. I don't think their booth is big enough for a fixed wing. I've got to drop in their but hear they are very expensive. If I have to disassemble the plane, I'll bring it home and enlarge my paint booth and do it myself. Just beating the idea around of water based urethane. I like using Endura but it's bad stuff. I have two other wings to do also so I may just bite the bullet and do it all myself. Had a quote of 15K in Arlington but my banker wouldn't go for it.
I understand the shop in BC is using the Stewart System paints??
