Ash on the plane
Hello
Lots of forest fires around and ashes and light rain fell down yesterday , plane surface dirty now and
Messy, what is the best to clean-up, what kind of soap, etc...water not enough
To remove everything, I tried....

I flew near a tire fire once.. Real stupid.. Anyway Lemmon Pledge worked quite well but needed many applications. Some mothers polish also needed in some spots.. Stay away from fire plumes!

Best product out there is elbow grease.
Soap and water solution, whether it's Sunlight or the fanciest aviation soap using a high quality or natural sponge will do the trick just fine. Use lots of water and rinse plenty as the corrosive nature of the ash will destroy almost anything.
Never a pressure washer!

Thanks folks
Had to wash the plane twice to get rid of most of the ash...indeed nasty stuff...
Just wanted to make sure it was ok to use any regular car wash to avoid to make things worse...
