Back on topic (?) ....

This may sound strange, but if all you
ever do in aviation is fly tailwheel aircraft
off grass, you're really not missing out
on much.

That red arrow is only slightly better than my work. I'll change my avatar to an authentic one I altered of our daughter on her Harley.

Edit: or I won't because I move the files off this computer and they're on a flash drive. :(

I hope you didn't mind me posting that picture
of your wife with the CN Tower!

Hacked it off your cell phone. You need a better
password than "1234", ok?

I laughed at that part. I was thinking of starting a timer just for entertainment.

That's the combination an idiot would have on his luggage!

BTW don't get your hopes up for spring soon, I think zombie Jesus recently was recently resurrected, saw his shadow when he arose, and went back into the sepulchre so we're in for more winter.

That green colored stuff in your opening picture really throws me off though. Around here grass is usually brown. Summer means you gotta watch out for catching tumbleweeds getting caught in the gear legs.

Colonel ... I watched that video and it was GREAT ... thank you for sharing that.
Some of the best flying I ever did was in my buddies Champ ... in the summer, after supper watching the sun set over Lake Superior, with the door up or off. MU 2 and Citation and yet the Champ wins every time. That was awesome.... bring back some good memories. flying off the grass was great .... right up untill the bugs came out .... I didn't like that part.

It's a toss-up - either grass, or floats.

Jets and high performance aircraft are great fun,
don't get me wrong, but after a while I get the
feeling I am operating a very realistic video game.

I will admit that poking your nose up on top of
a layer into the bright sunrise above is pretty
neat, leaving the dark grey underneath behind.
Most of the rest of IFR is like doing your taxes,
though. Blech.

Flying IFR is a way to get somewhere. What you're talking about is being somewhere you enjoy.

What happened to spring? It's summer now - I'm
wearing shorts on the motorcycle already!

We have two seasons in this country: winter and
construction. Now, get out there and enjoy it!!
