Between TCU and SLP104 it says "E-S"

East and less intensity ("-") South?

E-S means east to south. Directions in Remarks always go clockwise, so if it was E-W it would be east through south to west. East and South would be E+S.
Hope this helps.

This is 2017, isn't it about time they release these weather reports in plain language so there would be no need to wonder what it means?

Actually you can check the option plain language when you submit your weather request.

The government could never allow that because it would mean half of the meteorology questions in the various Transport Canada written exams would become irrelevant.

I guess it is a good option for some but I can't stand those plain language metrs and forecasts. They take way to long to read as opposed the the traditional format. Which perhaps is why the traditional option is still used. If it wasn't used, it would take much, much longer to read the weather on a flight where you are looking at a whole bunch of TAF's.

So to whoever is in charge....please don't get rid of the traditional format just because a few are too lazy to learn.

Well I don't feel I was to lazy to learn if I had no need to know.

I have not flown for hire for over twenty years in Canada.

I am used to the European formats for flying IFR and for sure they are different in Europe.
