Transport Canada mailing time

Post by tbayav8er »

Hi Everyone,

I am currently on a temporary sign off for both my multi engine rating and Group 1 IFR from when I passed my flight tests. Those signoffs are expiring on the 14th and 19th respectively. It says on my file online that the label was printed on November 2nd. Does Transport Canada have those stickers in the mail basically right away after they are printed? My Multi Engine rating is expiring on the 14th, and I'm in the middle of training at a new job. I emailed Transport Canada's licensing office, but the person who responded was totally useless and told me if I wanted a temporary permit extension emailed to me, that I would have to pay $40, and re-apply for the ratings. I'm hoping that since the sticker was printed on November 2nd, that I should be receiving it very soon.

Thanks!

I received mine pretty much exactly a week after they were printed... I'd say that you'll have them early next week. Mine arrived right before expiring too!

Last month it took about 2.5 weeks for my sticker to arrive after the print date.

I got two ratings within a week of each other. The second one came in a month, and the first took 3.5mo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
