I have already applied for the program which is in joint with BCIT. I am also taking lessons there now and then. So far I really enjoy the atmosphere there.

Does anyone have any feedback about this school?

Please advise :)

Well as a graduate of Class 2, I can say that it is really a great place to be. PFC has been doing hte flight training for a long time and the know how to do it really well. Managment is great and supportive, the instructors are really good. The BCIT porition is getting better too!

Just be prepaired to put in the effert, the more you put in the more you will get out.

Happy flying, any more specific question feel free to PM me ;)

I was a contract flight instructor for the BCIT program last year (for Class 3). It was quite well run and regimented. It is very time compressed and therefore can be quite a challenge for the students. There is attrition.

Very very time consuming hard? Because I still need to work so I can eat. I plan to do this anyway, but I need to work when I'm not at school too.

Did anyone have to do this? Did they make it through the cirriculum okay?

Just curious.

Well it is monday to friday 0700-1600 ish plus extra time for home work and what not. But you can work, I worked one whole day a week (Every Saturday) and a few class mates worked more htan that, but I would try and limit it to no more than 10 or 15 hours per week max!

Plus be prepiared to book some time off for cross countries.

As for attrition, there is some, but that is for people who do not really want to be there IMHO.

If you want to really do this you will make it work!

Hmmm... I would need to do about 24/week. Unless I can find funding... Do either of you know about any funding besides BCIT for this program? Or of any banks? My bank doens't do student loans for pilots, just doctors and the like *sigh*.

I really want to make it work one way or another you know?

Anyway, thank you for the help so far!

Well here is where I got my money:

BCStudent Loans - $6000
Canada Student Loans - $9000
CIBC Line of Credit - $10,000
Coast Capital Savings Line of Credit that Mom and Dad Signed for $40,000

Yes that was over kill but hey. Oh and I lived at home. So I was in a bit of a good situation.

I would recemend going in knowing where 100% of your funding is coming from as some people haver had to drop out for that in fourth term, the most expensive. Kinda sucks to go so far and then have to drop out for a money reason.
