vfrmap.com

Is a good resource for viewing a VFR chart. Writing an exam you should get your hands on the chart specified for the exam. There may have been changes to airspace since the exam was published and using a newer or older map may screw things up for you.

I've taken screen shots on my iPhone/iPad just to have as a back up.

Didn't really want to spend 20 dollars on map I'm in bc

You don't need to bring any maps for the exams...TC supplies them. If you read the study and reference guide for the exam, it will explain.

Do not bring your own map to the TC exam. Regardless you could get a nav portion from a part of the coubtry you've never seen before. Chances are it won't be your backyard. You also can't use your phone for obvious reasons, you'll either have it off and leave it at the front desk or just lock it up in the car.

You will be provided with an appendix package to accompany your test.

If you have an android or iOS device, just download the FltPlan Go app and you get free VNC charts.
