Question on Communication

Hello everyone, hope youre doin great I would really appreciate some help with communications, please tell me the difference between a Mandatory Frequency (MF), UNICOM, Aerodrome Traffic Frequency (ATF), Flight Information Centre (FIC) and Flight Service Station and when to use what? Looking forward to some great replies. :prayer:

Thank you so much @Aviatard. I did get some idea and understand what each is used for, but not enough to understand when to use what? If you could clarify that for me, I would highly appreciate it.

The Canada Flight Supplement will tell you for each airport which type applies.
Note, for example, that an airport can have a tower during the day (class C or D airspace) but be MF at night (class E).
