Looking for a CFI for 2 people on a piper 140

Post by Optikz »

Looking for a CFI who has time in a Piper Cherokee that would be willing to train 2 people (both professional guys in their 40s, aiming for a float rating down the road).
We would like to have an instructor that enjoys the process of teaching people to fly and likes to have fun while doing it. We want to be meticulous pilots, but we also want to laugh along the way, particularly at the many mistakes we’ll undoubtedly make. We both have a low number of dual hours so far, and are fairly far along in ground school online.

Our schedules are flexible and are dedicated in getting through the PPL process in a timely matter.
Our recently purchased Cherokee is located at CYKZ, fully insured and we are willing to pay cash for services.
Please let me know if you are an interested party or might know of someone we can contact.
Contact info upon request
Thank you!

You should join the Buttonville Flying Club, if you have not already joined. There are a number of very experienced instructors who are members of the club. The members portion of buttonvilleflyingclub.com has a list, but it might be good for you to come out to meet some of them, first-hand. The club meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month in Hangar 15, 6:30 pm. The next meeting is Wed Dec 12, and it is a Pot-luck dinner event at the main terminal. On weekends, anyone who wants to fly out for some breakfast/lunch will generally meet up in the Terminal, by Druxy's, around 9 am, Saturdays and Sundays. If you want, you can usually find someone who has an empty seat in their plane and would be willing to give you a ride along. I found it really great to ride along with some very experienced pilots and not have to worry about flying the plane. It is a great opportunity to soak it all in and learn more about real-world GA flying. Even after you get your PPL, there is still so much to learn and the club members generally have a lot of flying experience and are more than willing to share their collective wisdom. Come out on Saturday morning and introduce yourselves!
