Does dual time in a 152 count towards an Ultralight training?

Post by rockeyracoon »

I have 4 hours training within the year on Cessna 152s and advanced ultralight, can I count the Cessna time toward my required 10 hours of dual time?

421.21

(4) Experience

Within the 24 months preceding the date of application for the permit, an applicant shall have acquired in ultra-light aeroplanes....
No. A 152 is not an ultralight.

Even someone who has completed a PPL (airplanes) still needs a further (421.21(6)) “minimum of 5 hours of flight time in ultra-light aeroplanes, including a minimum of 2 hours dual instruction flight time and a minimum of 2 hours solo flight time.“
