Very Rusty PPL Getting Current Again

I have a PPL but I haven't flown since 2008. I'm looking to get current again and have a question about the type of plane I can train in. In my local area there's an instructor with a Pipistrel Alpha Trainer. I believe it's considered an advanced ultralight. If I do my flight review with this instructor in that plane will I get my PPL reinstated or would that only allow me to excercise ultralight privileges?
