Accepted to Seneca...Now How does the Summer Term Work?
As my title states, I have been accepted ot seneca for their flight program. I am worried about how much it cost, and how I will Pay for it. I know that there is a summer term of lfight training where you do 14 hours of flying per week. i was wondering How this worked. Do you get times for flying all over the place on different days, or are you put at one specific hour, and only for a set number of weeks or what? My main reason for this is that i do not live in Toronto, Meaning that I will have to Live there for the training If I want to Have a job aswell. How is it possible to get a job during this program? Any other tips about this program? Thanks!!!

Expect to spend around $40,000 over the 4 years. It's $3000/semester except for the very first semester which is a bit more for college admin fees or something. In terms of paying for it, there's OSAP, scholarships, jobs, family, and saving up.
There are two summer flying terms, in which you will do much sitting at the airport, and occasionally some flying. I had a job during the summer semesters but it was at night and weekends, paid very well and was very understanding as to my situation...if you can find a job like that then you're set. It was also seasonal and I did not work during the regular school year.
In general, keep in mind that a job will probably take away from your flying and vice versa. It's hard to find a balance, but it can be done.
And in terms of how it works....your schedule is all over the place and can change up until the night before.
