I've had instructors help me pull airplanes in torrential downpours before when they didn't have to.
I've had instructors answer all my weather related questions.
I've had an instructor drive me home from the bar when I was too drunk to do so myself.
Thank You on behalf of Linecrew everywhere.

I remember some instructor asked the question for flying an amphib, "Where am I landing, and where is my gear?"
I don't fly an amphib, but that sounds like a great question. Simple, easy to remember, and apparently it works, but it's not in any Transport Canada literature.

You first read that in the Dukes stories, it was me that taught him that mantra and as he stated it is the best way to prevent landing an amphibian with the wrong gear configuration.
Why would you expect that to be in any TC literature, you are not inexperienced enough to believe that TC has a handle on reality and how to teach people to fly do you?..?
Jeeseeses I hope for your sake you don't use TC as your benchmark for teaching people how to fly or how to use good airmanship.
F.ck if you are that confused come on out here and I'll give you some free instruction just to bring up the quality of thinking in Canadian flight training.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Sorry for the obvious baiting of the hook, Cat Driver.
If I ever make it to the coast, you're darn tootin' I'll be stopping by to check out your project. I'd like to see 'the little Radial Engine that could'.
And, of course I'd be asking for a bit of advice here and there.
One day, who knows?

I have a good instructor story. Hundreds of them, actually. In fact I have a new one virtually every time I fly. I'm working on a CPL, and my instructor is not only an amazing pilot, but a really good instructor. I've flown with a bunch of people (good and bad), and I think he's the best. Here's to all the instructors who work hard, are good at, and enjoy what they do. Thanks.
