How to logbook
Hi.
I have Private Pilot Licence and
currently doing CPL training in Canada.
Of course, I am on left seat and instructor on right seat.
Do I get both Dual and PIC time when training?
I thought instructor gets PIC and I get Dual time.
I just recognized US pilots get both dual and pic when they do
flight training with instructors.
Thanks.

Re: How to logbook
No. In Canada, dual and PIC are mutually exclusive.
In Canada, there is only ONE PIC and it has nothing to
do with whom is fondling the controls. He can spend
the whole flight sleeping in the back - in fact, lots of
airline pilots do exactly that.
Being PIC has to do with legal responsibility for the flight.
He's the guy that goes to jail if anything goes wrong.
When you are flying with an instructor, he logs PIC and
you log dual.
Very simple.

Question had already been answered. And I fail to see how your response is more helpful/less smart-assed than mine.

I know huh? I mean he could have simply linked the dictionary definition which would have been at least somewhat helpful. Here we are:cap41 wrote:WOW, that was helpful. Why do people post so much smart ass crap. Just answer or don't
