Im a bottom of the priority list interline traveller here, looking to do some YVR YYZ travel in the coming months to visit my spouse and my family. Im relatively new to travelling this route as a non-rev passenger, is there any advice (as much as youre willing to disclose on a public forum) on which times are best to list, and which are best to avoid?

It will depend on how badly you need to travel - you may be better off buying a ticket. Then you don't need to worry about getting a seat.

My biggest suggestion is to start trying on the first flight of the day. They tend to have the biggest no show factor. Try to travel mid week and avoid long weekends if at all possible. Don't give up. Flights are all pretty full but there are seats available. You can also look at other options to get to YYZ. (YVR-YYC-YYZ for example)
