Jazz Salary

Post by beechbum »

Can anyone confirm the payscales at Jazz are correct on http://www.airlinepilotpay.com

I know this much: Year 1: 34,700
Year 2: 40,530

Are the hourly rates correct (f/o): Year 3: 47
Year 4: 48
Year 5: 49

Is the min. guarantee 75 hours per month? How may pay hours are people doing on average (I understand overtime is common right now due to crew shortages)?

What kind of rough dollar amount in perdiems could be added to the take-home pay?

Obviously I am trying to figure out what kind of pay one can expect for a number of years down the road.

I was told 34k for the first year FO in my interview, but as far as perdiems, you get paid very well, I was told by several ppl there that it averages out to nearly 10k per year if you work a fair bit. If you eat at Subway etc, it could help bring your income up a bit!

The daily per diem rate is around $53/day.On average I would say about $700/month.

If you do all US flying it works out to be more. When I was still at Jazz, I remember expense checks of close to $1000.

If you factor in wage and perdiums and the tax you would have paid on those prediums, it works out to around 46K for first year FO. Not too bad.

Cheers.

There are obviously no taxes on those per diems. The bad part KAG is that you end up spending the per diems. The wage sucks no matter how you look at it.

Your right, it does. Im just trying to be somewhat positive.
If there were faster upgrades, lower mins, higher pay after a few years I could see Jazz trying to justify it.
Fact is, it sucks...for now.

Cheers.
