Replacement A320

how is AC handling the written off airframe. Will they borrow from rouge? Reduce frequency? Or lease another airframe?

200+ total airplanes in the fleet. "Extra" flying easily absorbed by other A319s/A320/A321s, E190s or B767 at mainline. Won't affect scheduling.

Hmm...seems the crash (opps, 'hard landing') affected scheduling after all:

Or is it a convenient story to deploy capacity on other higher yielding routes? I still don't buy it.

I agree, with the weakening Alberta economy I'm sure this was an easy way to postpone the route. In the summer time rouge has excess narrow-body capacity, mainline doesn't. I'm sure if the advanced bookings on this route were high they would have found a way to make it work, but maybe at the expense of another poor performing route.
