Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
And the guys filling them in-person interview when? Trying to get an idea of where they are in the “12 month hold” pile.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Those in the “12 month hold” pile will have some people interviewing after them scoring higher and some scoring lower. It’s all just some points-based matrix. When A.C. runs out of people who scored higher than you they’ll call, or you’ll have to apply again in whatever time frame after twelve months that they choose to reopen the door for applications.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Anyone know the breakdown between OTS & flow through ?
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
What is flow through?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Flow through is a term used when a hiring arrangement is made between a mainline carrier and a partner regional airline.
For instance a pilot hired by Encore today is given a ‘date of hire’ seniority number at Westjet and can ‘flow through’ when a position opens up with out having to reinterview. Over the past few decades Jazz and it’s predessesors have had similar arrangements where pilots maintained some pay, seniority or other benefits.
No such arrangement exists today at AC, while there has been talk about preferential hiring, quota numbers from connectors and garunteed interviews the term isn’t being used accurately. A pilot joining AC from a connector airline follows the same hiring process as any other pilot, doesn’t carry any years of accumulated service or benefits, they aren’t flowing through they are a new hire.

I was being facetious.
You know, because there is no such thing with AC.

We didn't get new hire bios for this class. Just a picture of (most of) the class. I tell you they are a good looking bunch though.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
August class was around 70% OTS. Many were ex-military, some Westjet, Flair, and others.

It looks like there were only PML 1.0 Jazz people as well.98 Corolla wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 11:09 am August class was around 70% OTS. Many were ex-military, some Westjet, Flair, and others.
I was surprised to see so much flair in there. You'd think bleeding them out at that rate will materially damage their operation in short order.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Any thoughts! I did my interview at the end of June and have had the Ok email 3 weeks later; I still haven’t had my references checked, is this normal?
