I'm sure I'm not the only pilot that has no idea when national holidays even are.PostmasterGeneral wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 5:19 am Condolences to all those forces to start a PIT course on Canada Day

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Been 13 weeks for me and nothing but crickets
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Guy I know had six months of crickets before the interview and another six months before a job offer. Just don’t burn any bridges in the meantime.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Big one. What is the breakdown? Any reason for the big size?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Running bigger classes now every 3 weeks instead of every two.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I think it was every 3 weeks, and is supposed to go to every 2 weeks over the summer.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
13 weeks from interview to call. 22 July start. Phewy
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
June, July and August are the high water marks for the airline, the objective is to have all hands on deck for the peak season. Accordingly conversion courses are planned to be completed prior to the summer. With all the pilots on the property flying the line there is more simulator space available to train new hires.
A220 courses are on the books for instructors, managers and check pilots, I wouldn't expect to see FO spots available prior to October.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Training reports don't show anything for the A220 anytime soon. Other than the trainers/checkers.
Additionally if the 737 is grounded much longer I wouldn't be surprised to see a big move in the next bid. They can't keep the pilots sitting at home forever.
