Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
You may see a slight slowdown.
Many new hires would have been going into 737 course. Currently upcoming courses are being cancelled until a timeline for re-entry into service is determined.

Any idea what is happening with the current hiring? Will there be a slow down because of the Max grounding.

Purely a WAG, but I suspect there will be a bit of a slow down as the fleet and crews get shuffled around.
With that in mind, eventually the plane will be back flying and our crewing deficit and fin acceptance will necessitate continued hiring.
The plan before all this was classes of 30-40 every 2-3 weeks over the summer. Just sit tight and enjoy the ride.

A mile of road will take you a mile, but a mile of runway can take you anywhere

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Is the April 22nd GS still happening with all the issues with the 737 MAX? Anyone got a call for this GS yet?

Thanks for the post, congrats!
Can I ask what kind of experience you have? And is this the first communication with AC after your interview at the end of January?

Hey,
Does anyone know what positions they are hiring for in the Apr 22 class?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I interviewed with 4000TT, 2000MPIC, 400 PIC(Q400) and an aviation diploma. I emailed the recruiter about 2 weeks ago asking for an update and was told that my application was still under process. They called my references last week and I had an offer on Friday.
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
They haven’t got the training report available quite yet... there may (or may not?) be an equipment bid by then. But expect more of the same; I doubt that this will be that one chance to nab a 777 DEC position!
