I'm wondering how many people were effected by the Air Canada "technical issue" on May 28th?
A friend of mine got caught in it and was stuck in YVR on her way to YEG. As I understand it, Air Canada more or less told her to find her own way home and that she would be re-reimbursed. So she booked Westjet to get to work for at least a partial day on the 29th.
She booked her Air Canada flight on Expedia. It now seems that Expedia and Air Canada are pointing the finger at each other and attempting to deny any responsibility.
Are other people having similar issues? What are the potential remedies, assuming further talks with Air Canada are unproductive?

Expedia is a travel agent. Travel agents have to make changes/refunds etc.
Booking through the original airline is the easiest for changes.
