Protest to save Canadian aviation
UNIFOR is organizing a new protest on Friday, Oct 30 at 10 am.
One will take place At Terminal 1 in YYZ, Departure level, on the inner lane.
ALPA and CUPE (which includes Air Canada Flight Attendants) have called on their Union members to join both events.
There is a second protest at the same time in Montreal at Transport Minister Marc Garneau’s Riding office, At 4040 Ste-Catherine West in Westmount.
Although ACPA has so far remained mum, we would really appreciate the solidarity of Air Canada pilots at both events.
The Facebook Aviation Workers Group which we have created, which now has over 12,0000 members had called on all its members to attend.
Bring a mask, and respect social distancing.

ACPA will remain mum, wouldn't want to upset all those great management relationships.

Re: Protest to save Canadian aviation
I understand but most airline management are happy about our protests. So are the industry associations like NACC and ATAC and CAC
I fail to see why Air Canada would be any different. Everything I read from Calin Rovinescu is perfectly aligned with the demands that we have.

I must concede. In terms of influence on humanity, your Calvin beats mine.
No fair! You edited the typo, now the joke doesn't work.

Re: Protest to save Canadian aviation
So did ACPA not bother to be a part of this today???
Re: Protest to save Canadian aviation
There were definitely ACPA pilots in the crowd at YYZ T1 this AM.
The presidents of UNIFOR 7378 and ALPA Canada both spoke well and forcefully for all pilots.
The UNIFOR National president did the same for all workers in the aviation industry.

Re: Protest to save Canadian aviation
Have not heard a peep from ACPA but all professions of Air Canada were present at both events. Thank you to all those who came. Even some retirees....
Re: Protest to save Canadian aviation
I guess you're not on ACPA's email list yet Gilles. ACPA advised its membership of the rally and the upcoming YUL and YVR marches. Thanks for your communication on these issues.
Re: Protest to save Canadian aviation
What does MM even do? Nice to see TP represent ALPA and show some leadership. A few AC pilots is a start, but next time I'd like to see our CEO and MEC chair represent us.
Re: Protest to save Canadian aviation
They're too busy getting paid 82 hr/month selling out our future to concern themselves with petty notions like professional unity.
