Jazz completes transition to CPA
Jazz completes transition to CPA. Following its emergence from CCAA, Air Canada Jazz has completed its transition to a Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA) with Air Canada. This move will allow Jazz to better compete within the North American market for under a CPA, Jazz will be paid a rate to operate flights on behalf of Air Canada. Before the CPA, Jazz’s revenue came from passenger ticket and cargo sales – now its revenue comes from “selling” its capacity to Air Canada. The mainline carrier will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the operation, as well as cargo sales and community relations, and Jazz will focus on safety, cost control, operational performance and customer service.
