A 45-minute computer crash shut down Air Canada's reservations system yesterday morning, temporarily delaying flights.
Technicians got the system up and running by 7 a.m., so a small number of early-morning departures in eastern Canada and the U.S.
Northeast were delayed by an average of 15 to 30 minutes, said Air Canada spokeswoman Laura Cooke.
The outage was short enough that it did not spawn any flight cancellations, she said yesterday, one day after the carrier unveiled new uniforms, new-look planes and a marketing deal with Canadian pop star Celine Dion.
