crj_705, I don't believe you're involved in this lawsuit as your maturity level seems to indicate you're too young.
That being said, there is a lot of ill feelings between the two groups and the lawsuit and the reasons behind the lawsuit are a very big reason for this. Gloating is only going to exacerbate the situation and may cause a snowball effect, ie; they deny boarding to Jazz pilots who turn around and deny some AC pilots. To be fair, this may occur anyhow, once the judgement comes out, if indeed it is in the Air Ontario Pilots favor.
I have not encountered one AC pilot who throws the pass changes in my face, even though privately, I'm certain some would love to. Nobody likes a gloater! And yes I'm a big fat hypocrite.

What is there to gloat over?

If the defendants are successful then the sad protracted process is finally over. If the plaintiffs are successful then there is the possibility of years of additional litigation in appeal and then a damages phase which may or may not produce a meaningful award which will be for the most part uncollectible.

This decision will be another footnote in a chapter of pilot history that most would rather forget. The mistakes that these two pilot groups made in the 90's were nothing compared to the opportunities lost during CCAA due to a failure to act together. And apparently those same mistakes will be repeated ad infinitum.
