Re: Air Canada Pool
By doing rough "guestimates" math, the PML will be exhausted by the end of 2017-early 2018.
Re: Air Canada Pool
How does one guestimate if no one knows whether 625 signed up or 1000 signed up on the PML?
Re: Air Canada Pool
I just heard from someone in the know on the crewing end that those forecasts create 550 new positions at the airline. Plus retirements, it will be a busy few years.

Hey (you're right LPV), can't wait to meet you, of course that is if HR hasn't taken you out of the pool yet!arcadia wrote:Toughen up boys, just a bit of light hearted humour. There is a lot worse being said about you behind your backs.
There is nothing light hearted about that, you are a whinny spoiled brat and your parents should be ashamed of how you turned out!
I would like to apologise to Arcadia for using his name and hope he makes peace with the new reality.

to allclutch and anonymity.
Don't usually post but I can't help myself. Whether or not you agree with what arcadia is saying is irrelevant. Your using his real name in an effort to 'out' him with the HR people at AC. That is probably the douchiest move I can imagine.

Re: Air Canada Pool
hey leave me out of this Cesspit.
I've given up on this thread. clearly there is no reasoning with stupid,
I just hope Arcadia enjoys the remainder of his limited time in pool and goes on to enjoy a long and properous career at AC and can leave all his bitterness and anger at the door.
All the talk of lawsuits and grevinences before your on the property could hurt the standing of all those in the pool.
There is going to be a lot of hiring at AC and a lot of those pilots will be us lowly Jazz guys and the truth is we will all have to potentially work together.
Their is no such thing as true anonymity on here and if AC recruitment were truely motivated they could probably do so, but they won't. Acadia is rightfully pissed off but at the wrong people.
Sorry you got fucked around so hard but it's not the Jazz guys.
You interviewed in March/April 2013 so your probably one of the next guys to go. Relax.

If they are going to start taking 20 EMJ out of the fleet starting this fall, why would they put new hires on an EMJ course?Fanblade wrote:The interim bid shows 1 YYZ LCC FO spot open.rudder wrote:Net of 75 vacancies. On a plus side latest equipment bid shows 70 odd open positions...

Lots of YYZ EMJ/320 FO
Re: Air Canada Pool
I agree it wouldn't seem logical to train for the EMJ, but they simply look at forecast flying hours for the summer in each seat and compare that to the number of QPOS (qualified positions) and if they're short they train.

Re: Air Canada Pool
Back to the question posed from Arcardia,
Have any poolies been called? I heard they are running 2 courses with 20 noobs in each in March. I assume only Jazz candidates have been contacted?
Cheers

I believe 3 or 4 poolies (non Jazz) have been called for medicals and mid March GS.

Re: Air Canada Pool
That number would make sense, if OTS candidates get 20% of the spots available then for a ground school of 20 four poolies would get jobs. I'm assuming those 3-4 who got a call are on the first course, and the next 4 will be called later on for the other course.

Re: Air Canada Pool
How are people leaving the pool? Ie seniority based or cherry picked

Re: Air Canada Pool
Based on the fact that the person I know who just got the call was only interviewed late last spring, I would guess they are cherry picking at this point.
