Re: Rouge Callsign?
Same callsign? Will they also ask for ride reports every time they change frequencies?
Re: Rouge Callsign?
What's with the Air Canada's? I find it annoying too.
Re: Rouge Callsign?
Don't know. The guys I ask didn't even realize they're saying it. I'm working on it.
Re: Rouge Callsign?
After several years of flying a majority of flights that all started with the number "zero", I inadvertently found myself adding what sounded like "Air So and So 's", but was just a brain fart given that's how all of my previous flight numbers started. I bet the demographics of who is saying "Air Canada 'sss" would show that they are mostly wide body/former wide body pilots who were operating flights starting with zeros.
Re: Rouge Callsign?
Seeing as AC is comprised of more than one, the 's would be used to denote the form of possession, thus, each flight (number) belongs to Air Canada, or as proper, Air Canada's (flight). That's my stab at it
Re: Rouge Callsign?
Call sign will be "rouge"
Passengers will purchase/check in to AC flight numbers for commercial purpose (like they do for jazz or sky), but they will have their own ICAO/IATA code as they are a separate AOC holder.

Re: Rouge Callsign?
Oh man the American controllers aren't going to be able to say rouge.

How do you think the Cuban, Mexican and Dominican's will do? Royer.vrrotate wrote:Oh man the American controllers aren't going to be able to say rouge.
Re: Rouge Callsign?
Don't worry to much about the other controllers who speak 2-3 languages. Just learn how pronounce one word in french and you'll be OK.

Re: Rouge Callsign?
I just heard them the other day, they are using "Air Canada" callsign.
Which makes sense because aren't they Air Canada pilots?
Cheers,
