Rouge's Future plans

Post by Slappy the Squirrel »

Hey folks,

As we all know Rouge is on the fast track to eventually take over most of AC's southern tourist destination flying out of Toronto and Montreal. Out of curiosity, anybody know what their expansion plans are after this winter? Are they going to stick pretty much to YYZ and YUL, or will they be doing trips down south out of secondary airports such as YHZ, YOW, YWG or anything else out west? Also, are they likely to stick to a single pilot base or will they eventually base pilots elsewhere (YUL, YVR).

Since it looks like a large majority of new hires in the future will be going to Rouge, it would be nice for people who are applying to know what their future plans might be.

AC is considering closing YVR as a base - so I doubt expansion is in the works.

Good one. Supposed to happen just after they buy Transat, right?

Rouge will grow to 42 aircraft by the end of 2015, so there will certainly be more destinations. Don't know if there's enough room to base everything out of YYZ.
