Yes, that was the reason... however, before delivery of the 190s and before anyone clued in that the single engine driftdown over the Rockies was inadequate, the 175s DID go over the rocks for a few months.whiteguy wrote:Furthest the 175s made it was YXE on a regular basis and YYC once in a while as a replacement. Can't remember exactly but I think it was a single engine drift down issue going over the rocks.ToolBoy wrote:The west never saw the 175 only 190. As for the loads factors between EG-VR, they are mostly over sold except for the occasional early morning departures. Passenger traffic between EG-VR an YC is heavy, the occasional A321 on the EG-VR route would help greatly.FL020 wrote:ISNT hard to fill up a 175/190 on a YVR-YEG ROUTE...in Fact it isn't hard to fill any of those machines on any routes!!!!
As for EG-YC-EG legs, a Dash 8-300 with 50 Pax just doesn't cut it, the -400 is a definite upgrade an should be the only Dash model on that route but a baby bus during peak business hours would help augment the lift.

Thanks for that. Not bad, but maybe they could come up with a new scheme by then. No doubt some will end up in Rouge colours if that experiment continues.

Containerized cargo apparently is not a big priority.

This is just a guess but maybe its got something to do with this: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-o ... e15521833/ They move ours domestically, we move theirs internationally? Like I said just a guess.leftoftrack wrote:Containerized cargo apparently is not a big priority.
