Upgrade Times?

#1 Post by jd832 » Thu Feb 13, 2014 5:04 pm

Hello All,

Considering new aircraft and replacement of old aircraft and the retirements in the coming years, what is the anticipated upgrade times for new hires?

Also anytime line for the application window to open?

Thank you for your response in advance.

Cheers!!

Overall Air Canada is not growing. Rather it is stagnant. Hiring has been as a result of attrition. Since mandatory retirement ended attrition slowed to a trickle. As a result hiring has dropped to a trickle as well. There is currently a surplus of 320 pilots at mainline as 319's ship to Rouge. So far the company has chosen not to post reductions and hire to Rouge.

Once people begin retiring once again we will see movement. Until then not much. Might be a pretty slow go here for the next few years.
