I notice that much of the info regarding AC pilot travel dates to pre-2012.
Does anyone have info on how commuting and employee travel works and how much it costs?
Thanks,
-Maus

I guess the answers to those questions depend on what exactly your comparing. Price, ease of booking flights, ease of checking loads, frequently of flights. I could go on. Or do you mean all of it. Because I only work for one airline I have nothing to compare it too.

The goal is fuller flights.
If you need to get somewhere - vacation, etc. it's usually better to buy a ticket.
How many people have wasted wads of $$$$ going back and forth to airports, having extra nights in hotels, meals, and maybe taking a big re-route just to get home. Many times it would have been cheaper to pay for a ticket.
If it matters, just buy a ticket. Or save up points and redeem them for a ticket.
Once you are a paying customer, they have to take care of you.
If not on AC, then across the border on even a reputable carrier such as United, etc. will be cheaper. Just do not support Allegiant.
Airline pass travel is a rapidly diminishing benefit. There are times it still works great, and easier as one person (but getting harder). If you have a family, it has become very difficult.
I will say, at least WJ offers 8 confirmed, 50% off tickets each year. That is a perk.

Thanks for the replies
If you commute in the jumpseat from, say, YUL to YYZ, what is the financial cost.
Also, can AC pilots ride in Jazz/Sky/GGN/EVAS jumpseats?
