What do you think about this salary?

Just for the hell of it, what would be your answer if you went in for an AC interview and were asked, "what do you think about our starting pay?".

It will be a challenge, that's for sure. But be that as it may, I understand that this is the way aviation works- one step back for every 2 forward. For me, it represents a pay cut, but one I am willing to take for the opporunities down the road that it opens up, ones that would not be open if I just stayed where I am now. Not an issue.

Well I'm pretty sure that it'd be a raise for me, so BRING 'ER ON!!

Anyway, this isn't any brandnew jetsgo type way of extorting pilots... it's been comme ca since day one.

Me: "Ah I'll be making 250K soon. So it doesn't matter."
Interviewer: "The top isn't that high anymore"
Me: "I'm sure the union will up that sooner or later"
