WestJet Dispatch Interview

Post by durkad »

Hello all,

New to the site. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience regarding the Dispatch test for the Flight Dispatcher position with WestJet? I am just wondering where I should focus the majority of my studying, AIM, CFS, WX, Navigation?

Thanks,

Hey Slipkeys,

I had the interview and the test and was fortunate enough to get on with Westjet in Dxp.
I would suggest looking at some of the CARs related to jet aircraft ie landing distances required wet/dry runways, requried hold fuel etc. Review the jepp charts , GFAs, sig wx charts etc. I would say maybe 30-40% of the questions were related to CARs although I later found out it was because we were doing an accelerated ground school as we all had a few years experience. It isn't a terribly hard test but it can be a lot to get through in the time allotted.

Good luck!

Does anybody have any information regarding the interview process for WJ Encore? (as an ab-initio dispatcher?)

I'm guessing I should expect behavioural questions. Any concrete examples?
Also about the company I would imagine, too.
Any technical questions?
