So, last Friday, I had a left main blowout on landing at CYYC in the C441. After clogging up taxiway "C" for 35 minutes or so while we got the clients into a van and towed the machine to the hangar, we began the process of getting things put right. We got hold of one of our guys who also maintains our private B737, but is a Westjet employee (all on the up-and-up, the private group apparently wanted the best, and from what I've seen found them). This true gentleman came over to our hangar AFTER his shift, checked out the situation, ran around gathering jacks, etc. from other operators (who were apparently ALL at Christmas parties!

), replaced the tire, made the appropriate release, marshalled us out the door, and locked up after us. We didn't manage to get the clients home (sent them on Westjet, instead!), but thanks to him, we had a fighting chance: He took several hours out of his own time, gave up Flames/Hawks tickets
at center ice to boot, and not the slightest bitch out of him. I just wanted to come here and tell all you folks, that you have one hell of a guy working in your maintenance department, and if you run into "RB", slap him a high 5 for me, and tell him I'm speaking with one of the families who owns the Flames to try and make right by him.
Simply awesome, I tell you...
